Berlin-based producer Jamie Whipple has some hefty remixes under his belt including Fatima Al Qadiri, Teengirl Fantasy, among others. From New York to Berlin, he's maintained a steady agenda of projects, fine-tuning his musical métier as M.E.S.H.

Cease to Exist welcomes him to the program with a Q&A, followed by a mix for our listeners:

You started off doing remixes, what persuaded you to begin producing your own music?
I was always making music undercover but M.E.S.H. started with some remixes and bootlegs. I don't like to rush things... Most things I end up releasing were made in 1 or 2 days but only after wasting a hundred hours on something else.

How has relocating from the states to Berlin affected you?
My music got slower then it sped up again.

What are you reading?
Book of the New Sun series by Gene Wolfe. It's like MYST if it were art directed by H.R. Geiger. Or it's like if you introduced the cenobites from Hellraiser into The Labyrinth then had James Joyce turn it into a long ass fantasy series. Also HHhH by Laurent Binet, my RSS feed, and the usual Wikipedia kholes.

What’s in the works for M.E.S.H.?
Putting out a remix single on Renaissance Man's Black Ocean label, and will be putting out an EP on PAN in the next few months. Just played CTM Festival in Berlin and will have more dates here and in NYC this month including doing a Janus night at PS1.
